Carnitine is een eigen, klein molecuul van een lichaam, met de structuur van een aminozuur. Daarom wordt het ook geassocieerd met de aminozuren, hoewel het een vitamine-achtige stof is.

De hoogste concentraties carnitine zijn te vinden in hart- en skeletspieren, lever, nieren en hersenen. Door hun grotere spiermassa hebben mannen meer carnitine nodig dan vrouwen. Carnitine-rijke voedingsmiddelen zijn rundvlees, wild, zuivelproducten, VIS en zeevruchten. Plantaardig voedsel bevat weinig of geen carnitine.

Dit product levert 500 mg carnitine in de biologisch actieve L-vorm in vegetarische capsules. Het is een puur product van farmaceutische kwaliteit zonder kunstmatige toevoegingen.
